Icon-decadeThis article is about a set of transformational implements in Kamen Rider Decade.

The Rider Cards (ライダーカード, Raidā Kādo) are cards containing the power of past Kamen Riders used by Kamen Rider Decade and Kamen Rider Diend.

List of Rider Cards[]

KamenRide[]

The KamenRide Cards (カメンライドカード, Kamenraido Kādo) possess the power to transform into the Riders they represent. It seems the cards are more than just items that hold the power of the Riders, as they sealed themselves until Tsukasa did something which helped the respective A.R Rider and learned a lesson from them, implying the Rider Cards hold some degree of sentience.

The black-colored KamenRide cards contain the power of each of the Primary Riders in the series, and are primarily used by Decade for his transformations into the Riders' main forms, though they can also be used by Diend to summon the respective Rider represented on the card as well.

Originally, Tsukasa only had Decade's KamenRide card, along with those of the first nine Heisei Riders. After Decade comes to terms with his role as the Destroyer of Worlds, he is able to obtain more KamenRide cards from defeating the Riders themselves.

The KamenRide: Skull card is the only KamenRide card with a black background to not represent a Primary Rider, though it is likely because the Rider is the main representative of his own A.R. World.

In Kamen Rider Zi-O, Tsukasa reappears with the NeoDecadriver, an upgraded Decadriver, as well as new KamenRide cards for all of the primary Kamen Riders from W to Zi-O.[Ghost Hunter 2018]

  • Kabuto (カブト): Transforms Decade into Kabuto's Rider Form. Regained when Tsukasa taught Mayu the true meaning about her Grandmother's saying of looks being deceiving while praising Sohji's family bonds. [The Grandma Way of Taste]
  • Den-O (デンオウ, Den'ō): Transforms Decade into Den-O's Sword Form. Regained when Tsukasa refers to Momotaros by his real name after calling him kind-hearted and restoring his sense of self. [Here Comes Super Momotaros!]
  • Kiva (キバ, Kiba): Transforms Decade into Kiva's default form. Regained when Tsukasa acknowledges Wataru as the Fangires' King. [The Biting King's Qualifications]
  • Skull (スカル, Sukaru) Theoretically this card would allow Decade to transform into Skull. When unsealed, it summoned the A.R. Sokichi in order to give Shotaro closure. It was acquired by Tsukasa at some point before Movie War 2010. It is presumably now in Shotaro's possession.
  • W (ダブル, Daburu): Transforms Decade into Double's CycloneJoker form.

  • Gackt (ガクト, Gakuto): Featured in the "Journey through the Decade" and the "Stay the Ride Alive" music videos, it depicts Gackt's face.

Though only a few were used by Decade, these cards would theoretically allow him to take the forms of the Showa Riders. Most of them only appear as part of the Final Dimension Kick (ファイナルディメンションキック, Fainaru Dimenshon Kikku), a variation of the Dimension Kick that transforms the Shōwa and Heisei Riders into KamenRide cards for Decade to travel through, as opposed to Final AttackRide cards, before hitting the target.

  • 1 (イチゴウ, Ichigō): Transforms Decade into Kamen Rider 1. Unlike other KamenRide cards, it also transforms the Decadriver into the Rider's original belt, which in Kamen Rider 1's case is the Typhoon. First used in Super Hero TaisenIcon-crosswiki.

  • Zero-One (ゼロワン, Zerowan): Transforms Decade into Zero-One's Rising Hopper Form. This card only appeared in toy form, released as part of the DX K-Touch21 set, and so far has not been seen in the series proper.

The powers of the non-primary Heisei Riders are contained in KamenRide cards with white backgrounds, to differentiate from the primary KamenRide cards used by Decade. Unlike Decade, who transforms into other Kamen Riders, Diend uses his KamenRide cards to summon other Kamen Riders. Diend is not limited to just the nine previous primary Kamen Riders, but has access to any Kamen Rider who has appeared in the Heisei period. Diend has been shown summoning up to three Kamen Riders at once.

In Kamen Rider Zi-O, Kaito reappears with the NeoDiendriver, an upgraded Diendriver, as well as new KamenRide cards for all of the secondary Kamen Riders from Accel to Geiz.[Blade Joker!? 2019]

The Complete Selection Modification Rider Card Extra set released in 2022 includes KamenRide cards for all of the remaining Heisei Phase 1 Riders who did not already have cards, along with the Final Forms of the non-primary Riders. Unlike the cards for the primary Riders, there is no visual distinction between basic and final forms.

These cards are only accessible by Decade in his Complete Form. While in Complete Form, Decade can summon a previous Rider in their Final Form by pressing the corresponding button on the K-touch. The final forms for the rest of the Heisei Phase 1 secondary and supporting Riders only received KamenRide cards in the Complete Selection Modification Rider Card Extra set released in 2022. Unlike the cards for the primary Riders, there is no visual distinction between basic and final forms. Presumably, these would allow Diend to summon Riders in their final forms as well.

FormRide[]

FormRide Cards (フォームライドカード, Fōmuraido Kādo) allow Decade to transform into the alternate main forms of Heisei Kamen Riders. Doing so also grants Decade access to form-exclusive weapons. When using Kuuga's FormRide Cards, Decade gains Kuuga's ability to turn normal items or weapons into their respective weaponry. Decade usually changes forms after already changing into the Kamen Rider's default form, though this is not required.

The Complete Selection Modification Rider Card Extra set released in 2022 also includes FormRide cards for all of the remaining alternate forms in Heisei Phase 1, including alternate forms for non-primary Riders as well.

Decade does so by reaching his hands into the Riders' backs, while Diend instead shoots them in the back. The affected Riders can freely alternate between their original forms and the new form as long as the card is in effect and Tsukasa is transformed into Decade.

  • Kuuga Gouram (クウガゴウラム, Kūga Gōramu): Transforms Kuuga into a creature similar to Gouram, giving him the ability to fly.
    • In the novel, Decade uses it on Godai, turning him into an alternate Kuuga Gouram based on a rhinoceros beetle.
    • In Kamen Rider × Kamen Rider Double & Decade: Movie War 2010, Kuuga gains a stronger Final FormRide form called the Ultimate Kuuga Gouram (アルティメットクウガゴウラム, Arutimetto Kūga Gōramu), which he assumed on his own while in Ultimate Form. Decade later gained the ability to transform Kuuga into this form in the battle against the Super Crisis Fortress.
    • In Kamen Rider Battle: Ganbaride, Decade uses the Kuuga Ball (クウガボール, Kūga Bōru) card to change Kuuga into a dodgeball-like form to perform the Decade Dodge (ディケイドドッジ, Dikeido Dojji) attack.

This Decade Complete Form is identical to the normal version, except that he wears the normal Decadriver instead of the K-Touch.
  • All Rider (オールライダー, Ōru Raidā): Transforms all nine Heisei Kamen Riders into their Final FormRide forms. When it is used in Movie War 2010, only five of the Riders turned into their Final FormRide forms (Ultimate Kuuga Gouram, Ryuki Dragreder, Agito Tornador, Zecter Kabuto, Hibiki Akanetaka), while three used their vehicles (The Castle Doran, Jetsliger, and the DenLiner) and one used an alternate form (Blade Jack Form).
  • Kamen Rider W (仮面ライダーダブル, Kamen Raidā Daburu): Splits Kamen Rider Double CycloneJoker into Kamen Rider Double CycloneCyclone (仮面ライダーダブルサイクロンサイクロン, Kamen Raidā Daburu Saikuron Saikuron), controlled by Philip, and Kamen Rider Double JokerJoker (仮面ライダーダブルジョーカージョーカー, Kamen Raidā Daburu Jōkā Jōkā), controlled by Shotaro.

AttackRide[]

The AttackRide Cards (アタックライドカード, Atakkuraido Kādo) allow Decade or Diend to perform special attacks. Decade is also able to use the signature attacks of whichever Kamen Rider he has transformed into.

  • Decade Blast (ディケイドブラスト, Dikeido Burasuto): Grants the Ride Booker's Gun Mode rapid fire capability.

Decade Violent Emotion used this card without having to transform into Kabuto. In the novel, the card somehow ended up in Tendo's possession and he gives it to Tsukasa, who uses it while in Kuuga Mighty Form.
    • When this card is used in Kabuto form, the Kabuto Zecter's voice will announce the start of Clock Up. When used by Decade Violent emotion, it is only announced by the Decadriver.
  • Den-O Ore Sanjou! (デンオウオレサンジョウ!, Den'ō Ore Sanjō!): As Den-O, Decade performs Sword Form's signature phrase and pose.
  • Den-O Nakerude! (デンオウナケルデ, Den'ō Nakeru de): Briefly shown following Decade's use of the "Ore Sanjou!" and "Kotaewa Kiite Nai" cards. It was not used, but would presumably cause Decade as Den-O to transform into Ax Form and perform its signature phrase and pose.
  • Den-O Tsuppari (デンオウツッパリ, Den'ō Tsuppari): As Den-O Ax Form, Decade launches a series of palm strikes.
  • Den-O Utchari (デンオウウッチャリ, Den'ō Utchari): As Den-O Ax Form, Decade performs a Sumo lifting attack. This card does not appear in the television series, but is featured in Hobby Japan's Detail of Heroes book on Decade.

    • Diend Neo Illusion (ディエンドネオイリュージョン, Diendo Neo Iryūjon)
  • Gekijyouban (ゲキジョウバン, Gekijōban): Summons the eight Riders that make up Diend Complete Form. "Gekijouban" translates to "Movie Version" (劇場版, Gekijōban), as movie riders are used in the attack. It is similar to Decade's Televikun card.

The Final AttackRide Cards (ファイナルアタックライドカード, Fainaru Atakkuraido Kādo) allow Decade and Diend to perform finishing attacks.

The Final AttackRide Cards, when used after transforming a Rider with a FinalFormRide card, allow Decade to perform a finishing attack using the Rider as a weapon. When used alone, they allow Decade to perform the signature attack of the Rider he is transformed into. If a Final AttackRide is used when Decade is in Complete Form, he can perform that Rider's signature move alongside the summoned Rider in their final form.

All attacks involve the Decadriver generating large golden Final AttackRide cards, with the final card having an image of Decade's attack. During his attack, Decade kicks, slashes, or shoots through these cards. These hologram cards can also stun the enemy so that Decade can more easily strike it.
    • When used by Decade Complete Form, the Dimension Kick becomes a stronger version called the Enhanced Dimension Kick (強化ディメンションキック, Kyōka Dimenshon Kikku).
    • With Kamen Rider Double CycloneCyclone and Kamen Rider Double JokerJoker, instead of using a corresponding Final AttackRide card to peform a finishing attack like with other Final FormRide forms, Decade uses the Final AttackRide: Decade card to perform a triple Rider Kick called the Triple Extreme (トリプルエクストリーム, Toripuru Ekusutorīmu).
    • In the Ganbaride game, Decade can perform the Decade Vanish finishing attack where he captures the enemy in an energy barcode and scans it before finishing the enemy off.
    • In Kamen Rider: Climax Heroes, Decade Complete Form can perform the Decade Unlimited finishing attack, in which Decade locks the opponent in a dimension that depicts the nine original worlds before the ten Heisei Rider symbols appear in the same fashion as the Final AttackRide cards and Decade performs a flying kick through them and into the enemy.
  • Diend (ディエンド, Diendo): Diend performs the Dimension Shoot (ディメンションシュート, Dimenshon Shūto), in which nine rings of cards showing the previous nine Heisei Riders appear before Diend fires a green and black beam through them and into the enemy. When used by Decade, this card allows Decade to execute an Dimension Shoot-style attack alongside Diend.
    • When used by Diend Complete Form, the Dimension Shoot becomes a stronger version called the Enhanced Dimension Shoot (強化ディメンションシュート, Kyōka Dimenshon Shūto), in which Diend shoots a gold beam of energy.

  • J (ジェイ):

  • Agito (アギト): On the Agito Tornador, Decade executes a slashing attack similar to Agito's Saber Brake Slash called the Decade Tornado (ディケイドトルネード, Dikeido Torunēdo). When used while transformed into Agito, Decade performs Agito's Rider Kick.

Zecter Kabuto then transforms back into Kamen Rider Kabuto and activates Clock Up, stopping the enemy in the air so that Kabuto and Decade can perform their respective Rider Kicks. When used while transformed into Kabuto's Rider Form, Decade performs Kabuto's Rider Kick.
  • Den-O (デンオウ, Den'ō): Momotaros executes an attack similar to Den-O's Extreme Slash called the Decade Liner (ディケイドライナー, Dikeido Rainā). It is labeled by Momotaros as "My Finisher Attack, Decade Version" (俺の必殺技・ディケイドバージョン, Ore no Hissatsu Waza: Dikeido Bājon).
  • Kiva (キバ, Kiba): With the Kiva Arrow, Decade performs the Decade Fang (ディケイドファング, Dikeido Fangu), in which the arrow is fired and unfolds before hitting the enemy.
    • In All Riders vs. Dai-Shocker Tsukasa gives the Kiva Arrow to Momotaros who uses it to perform the Momo Fang (モモファング, Momo Fangu) finishing attack, which he labels "Our Finishing Attack, Final Attack Version" (俺たちの必殺技・ファイナルアタックバージョン, Oretachi no Hissatsu Waza: Fainaru Atakku Bājon).

Final Kamen Attack FormRide[]

In All Riders vs. Dai-Shocker, the Final Kamen Attack FormRide Card (ファイナルカメンアタックフォームライドカード, Fainarukamen'atakkufōmuraido Kādo) is used by Decade Complete Form Jumbo Formation to perform the Final Dimension Kick (ファイナルディメンションキック, Fainaru Dimenshon Kikku), a variation of the Dimension Kick that transforms the Shōwa and Heisei Riders into KamenRide cards for Decade to pass through before hitting the target.

Although the card is visually similar to a standard Final AttackRide card, its functions and behaviors exhibit similarities to all three types of Rider Cards.

KaijinRide[]

KaijinRide Cards (カイジンライドカード, Kaijinraido Kādo) allow Chinomanako Diend Formation to summon Kaijin from previous Kamen Rider series.[Heretic Rider, Go Forth!]

Later, Rider Robo transforms into Rider Robo Diend Formation by absorbing Kamen Rider Diend. He has a similar appearance and abilities to Chinomanako Diend Formation. Because of his huge size, all he summons are Giant Monsters.[World of OOO].

These cards were released as a bonus for preordering the Complete Selection Modification Diendriver alongside the KamenRide: Diend card and its corresponding Rider Card set, but using them will result in an error sound.

  • Eagle Undead (イーグルアンデッド, Īguru Andeddo): Summon the Eagle Undead.
  • Moose Fangire (ムースファンガイア, Mūsu Fangaia): Summons the Moose Fangire.
  • Kingdark (キングダーク, Kingudāku): Summons the Kingdark.

  • Crisis Fortress (クライス要塞, Kuraisu Yōsai): Summons the Crisis Fortress.

Complete Card[]

Decade or Diend must transform into Complete Form by inserting the Decade or Diend Complete Card into the K-Touch.

  • Decade Complete (ディケイドコンプリート, Dikeido Konpurīto): A card containing the symbols from Kuuga to Decade. Inserted into the K-Touch in order to transform into Complete Form. This card manifested after Tsukasa regained his ability to become Decade.
    • Decade Complete 21 (ディケイドコンプリート21, Dikeido Konpurīto Toenti Wan): A card containing the symbols from Double to Zero-One. Inserted into the K-Touch21 in order to transform into Complete Form21.
  • Diend Complete (ディエンドコンプリート, Diendo Konpurīto): A card containing the symbols of G4, Ryuga, Orga, Glaive, Kabuki, Caucasus, Arc and Skull. Inserted into the K-Touch in order to transform into Complete Form.
  • Number Card (ナンバーカード, Nanbā Kādo): A toy-exclusive card included with the original DX K-Touch, where pressing certain numbers in order can trigger several sound effects in the DX K-Touch.
    • The Complete Selection Modification release of the K-Touch also includes this card, though it uses a different set of number codes and voice lines.

Unavailable Rider Cards[]

These are the Rider Cards that their powers being sealed. Tsukasa had to touch the heart of a world's Kamen Rider in order to restore them.

The cards without any power called Blank Card (ブランクカード, Buranku Kādo). After Tsukasa had unsealed all of the KamenRide cards, they later became unusable again in the World of Negatives, but were soon restored once again.

Unused Rider Cards[]

  • AttackRide: Cassette Arm
  • During the production process of the Complete Selection Modification Rider Card Extra set, changes were made to several cards, which were highlighted in the CSM developers' blog:[1]
    • Originally, in the initial reveal of the card set, Garren's Jack Form was denoted to be a FormRide card. This was later acknowledged by the designer of the cards to be an error, as he had mistaken the form to be an alternate form change like Blade's Jack Form instead of being the final form. The blog post also clarified some "ground rules" as to how Rider Cards are designed:
      • KamenRide cards are reserved exclusively for Riders' main and final forms.
      • Any other alternate form changes, such as incomplete, upgrade, or super forms, are assigned to be FormRide cards.
    • The image used for TheBee's KamenRide card was changed due to low resolution.
    • The AttackRide: Auto Vajin was initially textless like the Lost Power versions of AttackRide: Rekka Daizantou and GaGa no Udewa, until it was discovered that card sported Faiz's symbol on the back of the card in Episode 11 (unlike the latter two which lacked a symbol until its power was restored). As the de-powered versions of KamenRide and FinalFormRide cards sport texts and logos, Auto Vajin was given the same treatment.

The Rider Cards, along with the other Rider Powers, were stolen from Decade by Amadum in the world within the Magic Stone, who explained that they were already his due to the Riders' powers being from the same source as evil. However, the power was soon returned thanks to the appearance of Kamen Rider Gaim, with the return of the Rider Cards immediately transforming Decade into Complete Form. [Neverending Story]

Notes[]

  • Despite being classified "Pseudo Riders", Shadowmoon, Alternative and Alternative Zero are still represented in KamenRide Cards. However, these cards still lack the "Masked/Kamen Rider" titles in their name.
  • Strangely, the KamenRide: Shin card depict Shin as yellow eyes instead of red eyes, making it simillar to Transformed Onizuka's appearance.
  • In all of the Rider Cards featuring Agito in Ground Form, he is exclusively depicted with his Crest Horns opened.
  • The Complete Selection Modification Decadriver announces Den-O's Super Climax Form as "Chou Climax" rather than "Super Climax" as in Kamen Rider × Kamen Rider W & Decade: Movie War 2010. This was later fixed on Decadriver Ver.2.
  • Sounds for Riders from Double to Drive can be found in the CSM Decadriver, foreshadowing the arriving of the NeoDecadriver.
  • The art on the AttackRide: Advent card is the same as that on Ryuki's Advent Card of the same name.
  • The art on the KamenRide: Todoroki and KamenRide: Zanki cards are identical save for the colors of their facial decorations and the guitar strings over their shoulders. Despite this, it can be seen behind the cards' text that both have yellow guitar strings on their chest, implying that one of the images was edited to create the other.
  • FormRide: Kiva Flight Style was originally misspelled as "Flighit Style".
  • According to the CSM development blog, Ixa Save Mode is a Kamen Ride rather than a Form Ride because it's considered Otoya Kurenai's primary Rider form (whereas Burst Mode is Keisuke Nago's primary form).
  • In the original TV series, all of the cards share the same barcode. In Kamen Rider Zi-O, the cards have unique barcodes like the toy versions.
    • Additionally, cards from Zi-O and related merchendise sport different fonts to the ones seen in Decade and subsequent CSM releases.
      Decade-Zi-O Card Difference

Decade era (left), Zi-O era (right)

  • There are some differences between Decadriver (DX, CSM and in Decade series) and NeoDecadriver (DX version and in Zi-O series) due to the transformation sounds of Heisei Riders:
    • CSM Decadriver's transformation announcement for the KamenRide: Wizard card simply includes a magic portal sound effect, whereas the NeoDecadriver includes the Wizardriver's chants for Flame Style.
    • CSM Decadriver's transformation announcement for the KamenRide: OOO card simply includes a Random Combo sound effect, whereas the DX NeoDecadriver includes the OOO Driver's chants for Tatoba Combo.
    • CSM Decadriver's transformation announcement for the KamenRide: Gaim card simply includes a sound effect of Sengoku Driver, whereas the DX NeoDecadriver includes the Sengoku Driver's chants for Orange Arms.
    • Decadriver's transformation announcement for the KamenRide: Kuuga card simply includes a short version sound of Arcle, whereas the DX NeoDecadriver includes the long version sound of the Arcle.
    • Decadriver's transformation announcement for the KamenRide: Agito card simply includes a short version sound of Altering, whereas the DX NeoDecadriver includes the long version sound of the Altering.
    • Decadriver's transformation announcement for the KamenRide: Faiz card simply includes a simple transformation sound of Faiz Driver, whereas the DX NeoDecadriver includes the "Complete!" chant of the Faiz Driver. However, the dial tone of the Faiz Phone is omitted for the latter.
    • Decadriver's transformation announcement for the KamenRide: Blade card simply includes a simple transformation sound of Blay Buckle, whereas the DX NeoDecadriver includes the "Turn Up!" chant of the Blay Buckle.
    • Decadriver's transformation announcement for the KamenRide: Hibiki card simply includes the ringing sound of the Henshin Onsa with a pair drumbeats, whereas the DX NeoDecadriver includes the proper transformation sound.
    • Decadriver's transformation announcement for the KamenRide: Kabuto card simply includes a simple transformation sound of Rider Belt, whereas the DX NeoDecadriver includes the "Change Beetle!" chant of the Rider Belt while the SFX for Masked Form's transformation before transitioning to Rider form is omitted.
    • Decadriver's transformation announcement for the KamenRide: Den-O card simply includes a short version sound of Den-O Belt, whereas the DX NeoDecadriver includes the long version sound of the Den-O Belt.
    • Decadriver's transformation announcement for the KamenRide: Kiva card simply includes a short version sound of Kivat Belt, whereas the DX NeoDecadriver includes the long version sound of the Kivat Belt.
    • CSM Decadriver's transformation announcement for the KamenRide: Ryuki Survive card simply includes a simple transformation sound effect, whereas the DX NeoDecadriver includes the “Survive!” chant of the Dragvisorzwei.
    • CSM Decadriver's transformation announcement for the KamenRide: Faiz Blaster Form card simply includes a simple transformation sound effect, whereas the DX NeoDecadriver includes the “Awakening!” chant of the Faiz Blaster.
    • CSM Decadriver's transformation announcement for the KamenRide: Blade King Form card simply includes a simple transformation sound effect, whereas the DX NeoDecadriver includes the “Evolution King!” chant of the Rouse Absorber.
    • CSM Decadriver's transformation announcement for the KamenRide: Kabuto Hyper Form card simply includes a simple transformation sound effect, whereas the DX NeoDecadriver includes the “Change Hyper Beetle!” chant of the Hyper Zecter.
    • CSM Decadriver's transformation announcement for the KamenRide: Decade Complete Form card simply includes the same transformation sound of the K-Touch, whereas the DX NeoDecadriver includes a longer version that was used in episodes 21-24.
  • In the North American release for the CSM Decadriver v.2, the cards associated with Samurai Sentai ShinkengerIcon-crosswiki were not included due to a licensing issue with Hasbro regarding the presence of Super SentaiIcon-crosswiki and Power RangersIcon-crosswiki.
    • However, several customers in North America had reported receiving these cards anyway, with the removal of these cards only occurring in later batches of the release.[2][3]
