Amahiko Haitani (灰谷 天彦, Haitani Amahiko) was a counselor and an ally of the Deadmans who became the Planarian Deadman (プラナリア・デッドマン, Puranaria Deddoman) before being absorbed by Giff.[1]
History[]
Background[]
Amahiko Haitani was a counselor who sympathized with the Deadmans. He made videos in which he was masked and talked about the extreme disparity in society between the poor and the wealthy where those at the top only became stronger while those at the bottom stayed weak, citing this reason as why he supported the Deadmans' cause. These videos became popular with young people, leading the number of crimes involving the Deadmans to increase. As a result, he was officially recruited into the Deadmans by Orteca and given the Planarian Proto Vistamp.
The Deadmans Crisis[]
Haitani manipulates Seiko Omori into doing his bidding by promising that he will get treatment for her ill son, Ryou. He uses the Planarian Proto Vistamp's ability to replicate itself and gives it to Seiko. Haitani first has Seiko attack a bank with the Planarian Deadman in order to steal money for her son's treatment. The Planarian Deadman is destroyed by Kamen Rider Revice and Kamen Rider Live, and Seiko leaves when Ryou has a seizure. When Seiko is told that Ryou needs immediate surgery and asks Haitani for help, he tells her to find a doctor at the hospital that he says can perform the surgery. He also instructs her to enter a joint contract with his Deadman.
When the Planarian Deadman attacks the hospital and Seiko finds the doctor, he tells her that he is only a radiologist. Fenix arrives, and Seiko merges with the Deadman to become the Planarian Deadman Phase 2. Revi and Live defeat the Deadman and separate Seiko from it, but Haitani creates another Planarian Deadman that he uses to take her away. Haitani convinces Seiko to become a Phase 2 Deadman again and stage an attack along with the normal Planarian Deadman. Fenix arrives to stop them, but when Kamen Rider Demons is incapacitated while Julio and Orteca join in on the attack, Kamen Rider Revice and Kamen Rider Live become overwhelmed. However, Sakura Igarashi arrives and transforms into Kamen Rider Jeanne. She destroys the Planarian Deadman Phase 2, separating Seiko from it once again before she is apprehended by Fenix. As a result, Haitani develops a grudge against Sakura.
The Deadmans continued gathering more Gifftex to perform the ritual to awaken Giff, although Haitani was fearful of becoming a Gifftex after he is told that those who fail the selection process would disappear. Deciding to confront Sakura at her high school, Haitani arrives outside and yells for her before summoning the the Planarian Deadman. He eventually corners Sakura with her three friends. As he threatens to turn her friends into Phase 2s, Sakura becomes angry and transforms into Kamen Rider Jeanne, revealing her identity to her peers. Haitani intended to simply have the Planarian Deadman fight her, but Julio tells him to do it himself and forcibly transforms him into the Planarian Deadman Phase 2. However, he is swiftly defeated by Jeanne and retrieved by Julio.
Back at Deadmans Base, Haitani, Kudo, and the Chameleon Deadman undergo the selection ritual and successfully become Gifftex, with Haitani relieved that he survived. Haitani later takes part in the ritual to sacrifice Aguilera in order to revive Giff. However, the Kamen Riders invaded the base and intervened, putting a stop to the Deadmans' operations. When the Igarashi siblings employed a Triple Rider Kick on the Planarian Deadman and Sabertiger Deadman, both Haitani and Yasushi Kudo became particles of light and were absorbed by Giff due to his ties with the ritual.
Personality[]
Amahiko is a devious and highly intelligent man, showing great skill in manipulating others. His greed/ego is shown when expressing desires of replacing Giff and with his one-sided romantic attachment to Aguilera.
While generally calm when in control, Haitani tends to become increasingly agitated and deranged when things don't go as planned. This worsened when Aguilera showed that she didn't care about him, stating he was unsuited as a sacrifice for Giff. He has also developed somewhat of an obsession with Sakura Igarashi, targeting her in retaliation for stopping his plans with Seiko Omori.
Amahiko prefers to have other people do his dirty work, which appears to be equal parts depravity and cowardice. It was not until Julio forced Haitani to become the Deadman that he became directly involved.

- Weight:: 93.5 kg
The Planarian Deadman and its host have been united by an advanced contract. The host has gained super-regenerative power in exchange for the risk of not being able to return to human form. Furthermore, it has been confirmed that when the original host makes an advanced contract, they become a powerful individual with more strength than the joint contract. Initially, Haitani fused with his inner devil indefinitely to transform into the Planarian Deadman Phase 2 (プラナリア・デッドマンフェーズ2, Puranaria Deddoman Fēzu 2). After becoming a Gifftex, Haitani could use the Planarian Proto Vistamp to transform into the Planarian Deadman Phase 3 (プラナリア・デッドマンフェーズ3, Puranaria Deddoman Fēzu 3) and return to his human form at will.
