Akari Kurama (鞍馬 あかり, Kurama Akari)[1] was the daughter of Kousei and Irumi Kurama whose death resulted in the creation of her "successor" Neon Kurama (鞍馬 祢音, Kurama Neon).
History[]
Akari Kurama was born on April 1, 2004 to her parents Kousei and Irumi Kurama. She grew up in a wealthy and luxurious environment with almost everything she ever wanted. On her eighth birthday, she was kidnapped by Kazuo Numabukuro, who demanded a ¥300,000,000 ransom, an incident that she ultimately lost her life from.
Legacy[]

As a result, her father made a deal with Desire Grand Prix staff to become a DGP sponsor in exchange for making a wish with the Goddess of Genesis, to grant him an idealized version of his daughter named Neon. Neon kept Akari's memories up until her kidnapping, though in this new reality, she was successfully rescued by the police and survived. Ultimately, Irumi believed that Akari was still alive but her memories were altered to the point where she always thought her name was Neon.
Akari's existence was brought to light during the Bullfighting Game in the Jyamato Grand Prix where Beroba dropped the truth of Neon's existence in an effort to bring her to despair and prevent her from winning.
As Neon wandered the streets after leaving her family home for good, she saw an image of Akari in a nearby reflection as she questioned her own identity. Later in the final round of the Bullfighting Game, after Neon was saved by Kyuun, she encountered Akari's spirit in a vision. The two embraced each other as Neon received closure on her own identity crisis and regained her own fighting spirit to resume the round.
After Keiwa Sakurai eventually took an awakened Tsumuri hostage, he used the Goddess powers that she possessed to reset the world. This restored the lives of all previously eliminated Desire Grand Prix contestants, including a hefty bunch of criminals with Kazuo being one of them. Kazuo targeted Neon and kidnapped her to demand ransom from Kousei, just as he did to Akari all those years ago. While Kousei agonized over the same tragedy from eleven years ago happening once more, his wife reminded him that while Neon was different from Akari, their love for her deep down never changed. This strove Kousei to enter himself into Ace Ukiyo's Desire Grand Prix, becoming Kamen Rider Gya-Go to save Neon. Bearing the brunt of his injuries after rescuing Neon, Kousei saw a vision of Akari's spirit, who hugged him and smiled. As he held Akari, he came back to his senses and realized that Neon was finally safe and sound in his arms.
After Kousei was hospitalized, he admitted that Neon was correct when she told him that he had lost the ability to love when Akari died. Although the eight years they spent with her were precious, the following eleven with Neon should also have been just as precious. As Kousei and his wife began making amends with Neon, he handed over his Rider gear to his daughter, allowing her to transform into Na-Go Fantasy Form as a counterattack against Beroba's thirst for despair.
