The Ninjutsu Hatsudou 4komaninpoutou (忍術発動 4コマ忍法刀, Ninjutsu Hatsudō Yonkomaninpōtō, lit. "Ninja Technique Invoking Four-Panel Ninja Art Sword") is a sword weapon created by Sento Kiryu. It can be accessed by any form that uses either the Ninjya or Comic Fullbottles. Its design is based on a katana, a four-panel comic strip, and a fountain pen.

Components

  • Realize Pen Edge (リアライズペンエッジ, Riaraizu Pen Ejji): A pen-shaped materialization device. It is possible to materialize pictures drawn with the pen at the tip of the weapon. In addition, materialized pictures exert abilities and effects of the user's imagination. The tip is extremely sharp and can be used for stabbing attacks.
  • Seibai Edge (セイバイエッジ, Seibai Ejji, transl. "Punish Edge"): The blade. It has the ability to control its shape, and can be transformed into a saw-like blade or a double-layered blade. When not in combat, it changes to a safe shape that does not have cutting power, so there is no problem even if touched with bare hands.
  • Vortex Trigger (ボルテック トリガー, Borutekku Torigā): A trigger used to select and activate ninjutsu. Various ninjutsu are selected according to the number of times the trigger is pulled.
  • Break Grip (ブレイグリップ, Burei Gurippu): The grip. It is equipped with a motion detection system that optimizes attacking behavior by recording and analyzing the enemy's movements and the user's habits.
  • Ichi no Koma: Bunshin (一のコマ・分身 transl. "First Panel: Cloning"): A ninjutsu activating device. When selecting a ninjutsu, pulling the Vortex Trigger once, then pulling the trigger again activates Bunshin no Jutsu. Multiple clones of the user will appear and join the battle as allies.
  • Ni no Koma: Katon (二のコマ・火遁 transl. "Second Panel: Fire Releasing"): A ninjutsu activating device. When selecting a ninjutsu, pulling the Vortex Trigger twice, then pulling the trigger again activates Katon no Jutsu. It allows the user to unleash a scorching hot slash wrapped in intense flames called the Kaen Giri (火炎斬りKaen Giri transl. "Flame Slash").
  • San no Koma: Fūton (三のコマ・風遁 transl. "Third Panel: Wind Releasing"): A ninjutsu activating device. When selecting a ninjutsu, pulling the Vortex Trigger three time, then pulling the trigger again activates Fūton no Jutsu. It allows the user to unleash a gust of wind that slices through enemies called the Tastumaki Giri (竜巻斬りTastumaki Giri transl. "Tornado Slash").
  • Shi no Koma: Kakuremi (四のコマ・隠れ身 transl. "Fourth Panel: Vanishing"): A ninjutsu activating device. When selecting a ninjutsu, pulling the Vortex Trigger three time, then pulling the trigger again activates Kakuremi no Jutsu. A thick smokescreen spews from the blade, blinding the enemy and concealing the user.

Finishers

The 4komaninpoutou has four different finishers, depending on how many times the Vortex Trigger is pulled; the panels light up in ascending order.

  • Bunshin no Jutsu (分身の術 transl. "Cloning Technique"): Build creates a number of clones of himself that attack together.
  • Katon no Jutsu (火遁の術 transl. "Fire Releasing Technique"): Build delivers a flaming slash attack.
  • Fūton no Jutsu (風遁の術 transl. "Wind Releasing Technique"): Build creates a tornado around the blade.
  • Kakuremi no Jutsu (隠れ身の術 transl. "Vanishing Technique"): Build teleports a short distance away in a puff of smoke.

Notes

  • The 4komaninpoutou is based off yonkoma manga, a Japanese comic-strip format with four vertical panels.
  • The weapon itself—a katana combined with a fountain pen—is likely a pun on the adage, "The pen is mightier than the sword".
